Story #11 “Emotions”

Flutter flutter as you go by, flutter flutter you’re always catching my eye, flutter flutter do I provide all that you need, flutter flutter you are that to me! Your simplicity is your beauty. How delicate you are. Your grace of movement doesn’t quite seem possible, but every year you do it again. Taking me by surprise and demanding my attention above all else. Your physics doesn’t quite make sense to me, it never really has, and somehow it works. It does actually make sense because you work, and your work is what you offer. You’re small enough that some may not even notice you, yet beautiful enough that no one can take their eyes off you. You go about your work not even considering my presence, yet my presence can gravely affect you. I know I have taken much from you so please receive my offerings. I want you in my life, in my world, though I am not sure my world is best for you. I am so thankful for your work! I am filled with gratitude every time I see you. I am aware your work is not for me alone, it is for the generations after both of us. Your work is for my children, but that is not why you work so hard…because your work is also for your children. I reap the rewards of your labor, but throughout your day I am never a consideration of yours. Your simplicity is your beauty. You do not fret over what day it is, or what you have to get done later. You never worry about which task you will go to work on today. Every day you get up and perform the same task, for all the days of your life the task remains the same. Your simplicity is your beauty.
