Story #6 “ThankYous”

There is a lesson in everything, or at least that’s what many a wise say. I do believe it must be true, for a lesson I have learned each and every day. You ought not go through each moment with the constant search of lessons, you must instead live free flowing only to pause after for reflection. I must be honest with myself always, and not falter from my truth. For I learned the lessons I have due to the daily analysis of how to be better for the next. Of all the lessons of all the days, I’m still learning yours the most. You do not speak yet you have so much to say. You are ever in the present, and demand the same from me. When I forget this, you do not forgive me, but rather teach me. Sorry for my distraction! You were right to take that action. I create your environment, and you just react to it. I invited you into my space. Know this, the invitation comes with a commitment, possibly a duty. I must learn, to learn for me, for my betterment, but also I must learn for yours. You act and react so much out of fear, but please know, so do I. I try every day to teach you the lessons of my world, but I must remember to stop and listen to yours. I can not train you to jump through hoops. I must train you to train me. Listening is the hardest part for the teacher, but the only way to teach is to be taught first, and every student has a new lesson, so listen I will do. I have been patient with you, please do so for me. Together we will help one another reach the goals we have for the other. Of all the lessons of all the days, I’m still learning yours the most. Thank you, I look forward to tomorrow and what ever ending potential for lessons we’ll get to learn together.
