Why write a blog? Isn’t there enough offered through the internet? I won’t lie to you: I’ve gone back and forth with this venture, but what I always come back to is how much I love writing! So my answer is why not write a blog! I have been working on writing my first book for about a year now, though not full time, which means progress has been slow. The book began as this idea in my head that I honestly created just for myself. I kept expanding the story, developing the characters, and one day I finally made myself put my thoughts to paper. When sharing the rough outline with people, they wanted the option to “read on” so-to-speak, and I began to pursue the real process of creating this story. In February 2021, I was able to step away from a 40+ hour a week job for a quieter life, and one that allows me to spend more time with my family. That opportunity allowed me to pursue this writing venture full time. I am loving this journey! I decided to start this blog as a way to give you all a little taste of my writing in the form of short stories. As the book progresses, I plan on bringing you into sneak peeks and feedback sessions also.
This blog will be setup in a “series” format. I will introduce a series and each blog post that follows will be a part of that series. After concluding a series, I will introduce a new one, and so on… Although I am releasing these posts as a part of a larger series, each individual post is a stand alone story, so you do not need to read one to understand another, and you also do not need to read them in any particular order. The stories are released once a month and if you are a Corvid, Hawk, or Eagle subscriber the background explanation to each story are released a few days following the release of the original post.
